There has been a lot of debate recently about shortage of ‘good’ groom’s, verses poor working hours and pay. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Contary to what some people think, there ARE hard workers amongst Generation Z, but they were born and raised in a different environment to us millennials and generation x’s. If you want to recruit and retain great employees, it helps to understand and embrace the diverse and savvy generation. Gen Z are willing to work hard, but in return they expect a supportive employer who enhances their work life balance.

Sourcing land for equestrian use is not easy, especially when there is simply not enough land available to us. There are 847,000 horses in the UK IN 2023 which is only expected to go up!
The equestrian industry generates 4.7 billion into the economy and more needs to be done to facilitate our growing market.
Farm Diversification can considerably improve the economic viability of many farm businesses, whilst also benefitting the rural economy and community by providing additional job opportunities.
It is becoming increasingly apparent that farmers must recognise the need for diversification if they are to successfully apportion risk and future-proof their business.
